Ben van Berkel to design Renovation & Expansion Wadsworth Museum of Art

Architecture Events

On Friday, June 21, 2002 the Wadsworth Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut unveiled the schematic design for a grand-scale expansion and renovation by renowned Dutch architect Ben van Berkel (UN Studio) in collaboration with American award-winners Fox & Fowle Architects, executive architects of the project. The design for the Wadsworth Museum marks not only UN Studio's first major U.S. commission, but it is also the first-ever commission for a Dutch architect by a prestigious East-Coast museum.
