MOKO OMAHA
is a young architecture firm founded in the summer of 2006 by
Afaina de Jong/AFARAI, Florian Idenburg and Paco Bunnik. MOKO
OMAHA works within a wide range of disciplines concerning the
city, using knowledge and production cross disciplinary. MOKO
OMAHA has offices in Amsterdam and New York and has an initial
focus on Europe, the US, Japan and Brazil, because of existing
relations and past experiences in these parts of the world.
MOKO OMAHA has a strong connection with the contemporary city.
It believes in the city as a place for exchange, it regards
underground cultures as a source of information, inspiration
and as an important element that determines the city. MOKO OMAHA’s
thoughts and actions are rooted in a respect for diverse cultural
backgrounds. MOKO OMAHA sees itself working as a highly active
catalyst, a sparring partner, conceptualizer and initiator.
By infusing communities with projects and activities, stimulating
and participating in small developments MOKO OMAHA tries to
strengthen an open and diverse society.
